New publication! Aspects of online science courses that affect depression

This week, PLoS One published a study led by PhD student Carly Busch, along with Master's student Tasneem Mohammed titled "Aspects of online college science courses that alleviate and exacerbate undergraduate depression."

The study found that over 50% of undergraduates report experiencing depression, with LGBTQ+ students, women, students who are financially unstable and students with lower GPAs being most likely to have depression. In addition, this research identified aspects of online courses that exacerbated students' depression during the COVID-19 pandemic.
