Alumni Parth Bhanderi, Katey, and Dr. Carly Busch just published a national study showing that undergraduate students do not evaluate LGBTQ+ biology instructors more negatively, even in states with low LGBTQ+ acceptance.

Conducted with over 2,200 biology undergraduates across 7 U.S. institutions, this randomized experiment found that a brief LGBTQ+ disclosure led to slightly improved student perceptions across six measures, including likeability, approachability, and perceived competence.
