Dr. Carly Busch, alongside graduate students Erika Nadile and Tasneem Mohammed, and PhD student Dr. Logan Gin, investigated the rules, roles, and values expected of undergraduate researchers to create a more accessible path into the scientific community.
Their analysis revealed that gender, race/ethnicity, and college generation status predicted differences in what rules, roles, and values were appreciated and advised.
