Friday was a big day in the Cooper BER lab! To begin the day, Carly Busch presented a talk "Coming Out to the Class: Students Benefit from an Instructor Revealing her LGBTQ+ Identity in a Large-enrollment Biology Course" and
Nicholas Wiesenthal presented a talk entitled "Navigating academic biology as an LGBTQ+ Ph.D. student: learning, teaching, and doing research" at the Out in STEM (oSTEM) conference!
Later that day, Tasneem Mohammed kicked off the lightening talks at the Southwest BioSci Symposium entitled "The impact of large-enrollment online college science courses on student anxiety" and Anna Abraham presented a poster
on her work: "Instructor perceptions of
student incivility in the online undergraduate science classroom."
