Carly gave a talk entitled "Coming Out to the Class: Students Benefit from an Instructor Revealing her LGBTQ+ Identity in a Large-enrollment Biology Course" for the Scientific Queeries group at the University of Alberta!
This work highlights Carly's research showing that an instructor revealing an LGBTQ+ identity in < 3 seconds during class can have a positive impact on students in the course, regardless of whether they identify as LGBTQ+.
