Undergraduate researcher Parth Bhanderi presented his talk entitled "Undergraduate science instructors across the US revealing their LGBTQ+ identities in class benefited students with marginalized identities" at the BioSci Southwest Symposium. In his talk, he discussed his exploration of how openly identifying LGBTQ+ educators influence classroom inclusivity and support students who may feel marginalized in STEM environments.
