New publication! Students respond positively to an instructor collecting and sharing aggregated class demographic data from a survey in a high-enrollment physiology course

Updated: Nov 12

PhD students Baylee Edwards and Jacob Youngblood, undergraduate Jude Kolodisner, and Katey investigated the effects of collecting and sharing general information about students' backgrounds affected their connections with their professors in a large physiology class.

They found that most students appreciated the demographic survey, and felt that sharing the results enhanced their sense of belonging, made the instructor seem more approachable, and fostered a more inclusive class environment.
